Beginner Stream: Getting Started

Setting up your Class Team for Success

Microsoft Teams is a digital hub that brings conversations, content, and apps together in one place. Educators can create collaborative classrooms from a single experience in Office 365 Education. Class teams have unique permissions and features for teachers and students. As owners of the team, teachers assign work, share class content, start meetings, and control who can post in the team. Each class team is also linked to its own OneNote Class Notebook.

Top Windows and Office Tips for Productivity

In this session you will be taken through a number of Windows and Office Tips and Tricks that will enhance your productivity at this busy time of year. See how to quickly convert resources to digital content quickly, create resources using mail merge in word, effectively research in Edge and create interactive lesson content in OneNote plus much much more!

Inclusive Classroom Basics

The diversity of learning needs demands schools provide inclusive, accessible learning environments that inspire confidence and encourage independence differently for each student. In this introductory workshop, you will learn about the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework, Microsoft’s vision for the Inclusive Classroom, and how technology helps personalise learning. You will also be introduced to the Ease of Access centre on Windows 10 devices.

Advanced Stream: Doing More

How to use Teams more effectively

Run by Steven Payne from Standout Education, this session gives a quick overview of how Microsoft Teams is being used in schools. You will then learn how to set up Channels effectively, create engaging assignments and provide effective feedback throughout the learning process. Finally, we will explore ways of supporting social & emotional learning via Teams and monitoring student progress.

What’s New in EDU?

Witness the latest and greatest updates to your favourite Microsoft applications! This session will focus on updates for Microsoft Teams, Minecraft, Office and more! Join us as we explore and breakdown these improvements and how you can utilise them in the education space!

Teams and OneNote Class Notebook- Better Together!

In this session, you will begin by learning how to create a OneNote Class Notebook within your Class Team. We will then share top tips for managing your Class Notebook and using OneNote for learning and teaching. Finally, we will highlight the power of using OneNote alongside the tools in Teams to strengthen your assignments.
