Extinction! Safari! Explore a world built by Minecraft in partnership with the World Wildlife Fund. In this lesson, you and your students will be guided through an exciting world by our Microsoft Learning Delivery Specialists, Steven Payne & Andrew Balzer, to learn about species extinction and loss of biodiversity. Students will work individually or in small groups and can use the in-game Minecraft ‘camera,’ ‘portfolio,’ and ‘book & quill’ to record the information discovered as they travel through the world.

To celebrate International Women’s Day, you and your students will join Malala Yousafzai to learn about her passion and quest to change the accessibility of education to girls all across the world. In this lesson, delivered by Microsoft Modern Workplace Specialist, Megan Townes and Microsoft Learning Delivery Specialist, Amanda Frampton, students will explore the context of Malala’s struggle for education in Pakistan and why equity in education is so vital to a fair and just society. Then they’ll flex their creativity as they help Malala build a school for local girls!
