Join the #MSFTEduChat Canada TweetMeet in March: Women in STEM

With International Women’s Day on its way, our upcoming TweetMeet celebrates the work of Women in STEM, and how their example inspires girls to explore their passion for science, technology, engineering, and math. We know that mentorship is one of the most important factors in whether young women pursue a career in STEM, so we’re bringing together a group of women with a passion for these fields to lead a discussion on how you can support your students’ passion. On March 5th at 7:00 PM EST, join a TweetMeet with Microsoft in Education Canada, Fair Chance Learning, and a team of women who are doing amazing things in STEM education.
Meet our team of hosts!
–Barb Seaton, Provincial Mathematics PL Facilitator, Professional Learning Associate at Fair Chance Learning

What are #MSFTEduChat Canada TweetMeets?
Every month, Microsoft in Education Canada organizes a social event on Twitter for Canadian educators. The hashtag we use is #MSFTEduChat. A team of topic-specialists prepares and hosts these TweetMeets together. They craft questions around a certain theme and share them on Twitter, then our digital attendees strike up a conversation around that topic.
All you have to do is keep an eye on the hashtag and contribute any insights, ideas, or expertise to the conversation. Or you can just listen in! It’s a great way to connect and learn.
The easiest way to keep on top of the conversation is by using TweetDeck. Our friend Marjolein Hoekstra created a quick tutorial to help her OneNote Education TweetMeet attendees. It’s a tool that’ll help you follow the hashtag #MSFTEduChat during the conversation.
