September TweetMeet: Transforming Classroom Time

It’s a new school year, and we couldn’t be more excited for all the new adventures coming to classrooms across Canada. This September, we’re focussed on making sure that teachers can streamline all the processes that go alongside education. That way, you have more time to focus on what matters most: setting students free to learn! This month, we invite you to join us for a TweetMeet all about Transforming Classroom Time!

On September 24th at 7:00 PM EDT, we’ll be connecting with innovative educators all over the country to learn how they use classroom technology to save time, organize their classrooms, and unlock personalized learning. This TweetMeet is part of our Transform Classroom Time initiative. It’s a chance for teachers to access free resources and PD to free up more of their most valuable resource: time. How do #MSFTEduChat Canada TweetMeets work?

Several times a year, Microsoft in Education Canada organizes a social event on Twitter for Canadian educators. A team of topic-specialists prepares and hosts these TweetMeets together. They craft questions around a particular theme and share them on Twitter, then our digital attendees strike up a conversation on that topic. We use the hashtag #MSFTEduChat to make sure everyone’s voice is heard.
All you have to do is keep an eye on the hashtag and contribute any insights, ideas, or expertise to the conversation. Or you can just listen in! It’s a great way to connect and learn.

The easiest way to keep on top of the conversation is by using TweetDeck. Our friend Marjolein Hoekstra created a quick tutorial to help her OneNote Education TweetMeet attendees. It’s a tool that’ll help you follow the hashtag #MSFTEduChat and engage with fellow participants.
